Kennedy Hixon
Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I work with clients towards internal strength and peak performance - whether this is on the sports field, music stage, college forum, corporate meeting, student presentation, or personal practice areas. Achievers have a unique culture, mindset and need to excel, at all stages of career and across many contexts. As such, I partner with clients, focusing on mindfulness, effective communication, performance, negative-self talk, and personal self-care. I open a space for achievers to be their full self, both performance based, and personally.
I have dual masters degrees from Columbia University, Teachers College in Mental Health Counseling. For the past three years, I have had the opportunity to work with high achievers under the supervision of Swati Jagetia. I am a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC)®, supported by her fieldwork experience at Rutgers University in the Behavioral Health and Sport Psychology Team under Dr. Peter Economou. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology and a minor in public health from Indiana University.
I believe we are all worthy of our full potential in maximizing our lives. I provide a kind, nurturing environment for our whole selves to be challenged, explored and cared for.
